AI agents in business: where to start
A practical guide for boards and department heads: what an AI agent is, how to choose the first process, what to prepare and how to check that the rollout pays off.
How an AI agent differs from a chatbot and a voicebot
A typical chatbot answers questions and a voicebot holds a conversation. An AI agent has access to your systems and finishes the task: it opens a ticket, changes a booking, checks data and sends a confirmation. It can talk on the phone, but it can also work without a conversation, for example comparing data every day or reading documents.
How to choose the first process
To start, one process is enough: the one that costs your company the most time or money. A good candidate:
The same steps done dozens or hundreds of times a month.
It is clear what is normal and what needs a human decision.
A CRM entry, a ticket, an import file, a text to the customer.
Handling time, number of cases, mismatches found, amounts recovered.
Examples of first processes
A voice agent takes damage reports and breakdowns, and the team has a ready summary in the morning.
Reminders and a new date within agreed limits.
Daily comparison of data from several systems, e.g. driver working hours.
Invoices, CMRs and fines moved into your system without retyping.
What to prepare before the call
Who does what today, step by step, and where delays or errors happen.
A few recordings, documents or system exports.
What the agent may decide alone and what always goes to a person.
One number the client can check in their own report.
How to measure the agent’s result
Before we prepare an offer, we agree with the board how to measure the agent’s result. It is best when the number comes from the client’s own report. That was the case for a fleet client who saves about $18,000 a month thanks to daily checks of drivers’ working hours. For voice agents, Inoro shows the work too: every call is analysed on the same criteria as human agents’ calls.
Security and compliance
The agent says it is an AI at the start of every call, as the AI Act requires. We process data in the European Union under a data processing agreement. Every step the agent takes shows up in a report, and we monitor its work every day.
How the rollout works
- 1Process call
You show us where you lose time or money today. Free.
- 2Analysis and offer
We describe the process, analyse the data on our side and prepare a quote. Free.
- 3Launch
We connect the agent to your systems, teach it the process and prepare your team.
- 4Ongoing care
With the subscription we watch the agent’s work every day and share reports.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to change our systems?
No. We connect the agent to what you already have: fleet system, CRM, telephony, email, spreadsheets.
How much does it cost?
We quote after analysing the process. The price covers the launch and a subscription that scales with usage, billed for example per call minute or per vehicle. The call and analysis before the offer are free.
Does the agent say it is an AI?
Yes. At the start of the call the agent says it is an AI assistant, as the AI Act requires. If the caller asks, it hands the case to a person.
What if the agent makes a mistake?
We monitor its work continuously, so a mistake shows up in the daily report. We find the cause, show the client a report and ship a fix as part of the subscription.
